About your Cashflow Confidence Coach
This started long before spreadsheets and forecasts.

The story: Cashflow Confidence Coach
Cashflow Confidence grew out of real hands-on work, real pressure, and real responsibility.
I didn’t grow up around business jargon or financial plans. Growing up in a small country town in Western Qld, I spent my early years working hard in the shearing sheds. That experience taught me grit, teamwork, and resilience. It was also there that I first heard about investment properties as a path to financial independence. Knowing my body wouldn't handle manual labour forever, by using the equity of my main residence house, I bought my first investment house to secure my future.
I learned early on that your future is shaped by everyday choices: Everyone has their own way of spending, however, it is the choices we make today that control our financial freedom tomorrow.
Learning the hard way: inside my own businesses
I didn’t set out to be a "finance person."
After 14 years in the shearing sheds, I transitioned into office administration for a small business, managing the ‘books’ and scheduling cranes and trucks.
Later, I started running my own ventures with my partner at the time, juggling three businesses simultaneously. While managing this workload and raising our two young children, we built two businesses from the ground up and purchased a third that boomed massively within four years.
The $100k wake-up call
It was during this boom that I learned the critical difference between a business consultant and a traditional accountant.
As things got hectic, we engaged a business consultant to help manage the growth. In the third financial quarter, while reviewing our projected forecast, the consultant asked a pivotal question: "Are you aware you are forecasted for a $100k tax bill this year? Has your accountant discussed a plan to reduce it?"
They hadn’t. That single conversation sparked an immediate pivot; we sought a second opinion and switched accountants, successfully avoiding that massive tax bill through proactive planning.
The lesson: Compliance vs. Strategy
I learned that a traditional accountant's job is often focused on compliance, lodging financials with the ATO to ensure rules are met. Some are proactive, however many take the mindset that if you're paying tax, you're making money.
It is crucial to choose an accountant that matches your mindset and business goals.
Securing the future
During this hectic time, I also focused on our long-term security, purchasing four investment properties designed to build passive income and ensure our future financial independence.
How I found my way into the numbers
Whether a business is thriving or struggling, balancing a personal and professional relationship with the same partner creates inevitable pressure. I was far from immune to this. Following years of intense growth, the "hectic" nature of our ventures led to a deep misalignment in our personal relationships and future goals.
We’d already sold off one of our demanding booming business in the boom, and after selling our final business through vendor finance, I made the difficult choice to walk away from everything, including the four investment properties. At the time, I didn't even realise I was experiencing total burnout; I just knew something had to change.
Rebuilding with purpose
After stepping away, I took the time to rebuild, not just my career, but my financial foundation. Today, I am proud to have successfully invested in a couple of properties again. This journey reinforced my core belief: financial literacy is freedom. My experience proved that with the right knowledge and support, anyone can regain control of their financial future.
Why I do what I do
Rebuilding my portfolio gave me invaluable insights into the unique challenges small business owners face. I understand the weight of unexpected financial burdens and the stress of "doing it all."
As I launched my career as a BAS Agent, I began noticing a recurring pattern among the business owners I worked with...
- The grind: Most owners were working flat out—long days in the business, followed by long nights and weekends in the office.
- High stress, hidden wealth: Money was coming in, yet financial stress was always close to the surface.
- Missing the big picture: Business owners rarely allocated time to look at their full financial picture, nor did they realise its importance.
- Blind faith: Too many owners had 100% faith in their accountant to manage their finances, forgetting that it was their business on the line.
It was during this time that I discovered specialized business education that was actually out there for small business owners. By educating myself further, I have been able to help others avoid the pitfalls I experienced years ago and start building a sustainable, profitable future for themselves.
Why Cashflow Confidence was created
I built Cashflow Confidence to solve a specific problem: Business owners are great at what they do, but they’ve never been taught the money side.
My goal is not to turn you into an accountant. It is to help you understand your own numbers in plain, simple language. I developed straightforward methods to help you:
- Track exactly where your money is going.
- Forecast ahead instead of reacting to last month.
- Test decisions before committing resources.
- Remove emotion and replace it with clarity.
I provide the practical tools and understanding you need to get some breathing room back.
Who I help
Cashflow Confidence works with people who care about their business and want it to support their life, not run it. Specifically, I work with:
- Start-up businesses looking to build a solid foundation.
- Small business owners and Tradies who are hands-on operators.
- Individuals looking to start their future wealth creation portfolio.
Especially those who:
- Feel stressed or unsure about cashflow.
- Are sick of surprise tax bills.
- Don’t feel fully supported by their accountant.
- Want to make decisions with confidence, not hope
How I work with you
My approach is simple, direct, and tailored to you:
- Listen: I look at what’s really happening by listening to you and your pain points.
- Analyse: I pull the numbers apart and put them back together to suit your specific business.
- Explain: I explain them in basic language, using visuals to make it crystal clear.
- Plan: I help you put a clear, actionable plan in place.
You don't have to be great with numbers; I am. I help you bring it all together so you can see the full picture and make decisions based on your financial reality.
Does this sound familiar?
If you’ve ever thought:
- “I should probably understand this better”
- “I don’t know... the accountant can take care of it”
- “I’m working so hard but have no idea where all that money is going”
That is exactly why Cashflow Confidence exists. My mission is to show you that financial clarity isn’t complicated; it’s powerful.

Outside of business, giving back is important to me
I sponsor a child through KCM, a 100% volunteer-run organisation that works to rescue and protect vulnerable children in Uganda from child trafficking, sacrifice, and exploitation.
I am also involved locally, serving in volunteer treasurer roles for community sporting clubs and supporting organisations that rely on volunteers to keep running.
